About Us

Miss Lucy’s Cottage was built in 1932 by Roy Boatwright for his bride Lucy. Upon their death the farm transitioned through several owners and eventually sold in 2010 to Robert and Jan Swift. The home and surrounding property were completely restored and resurrected over a ten month period of time with the vision to transform the cottage into a vacation retreat.

We are so proud of Miss Lucy’s Cottage and the 37 acres of wooded trails and creeks. It is an ideal retreat for numerous venues: rental home, reunions, weddings, corporate meetings, golfers, hikers, scrap bookers, quilters, hunters, boaters and vacationers who will love to visit the surrounding small towns known for a plethora of boutiques and antique stores. We even offer access to a 150 person meeting facility complete with full commercial kitchen and baths.

We invite you to get away from the hustle and bustle of today's life, but not so remote that convenience and communication are lost. Come enjoy the beauty of the Kentucky hills, enjoy our lakes and creeks with plenty of room for child play, hikes, meditation and good fellowship.

Rates

• Rates: $175 nightly / $1,100 weekly. Monthly rates quoted upon request.
• We accept Visa & MasterCard.
• Maximum occupancy for Miss Lucy’s Cottage is 6 guests.
• You may make reservations on-line or by phone. We do not make reservations using e-mail. One half of your reservation amount or one night (which ever is greater) is charged to your credit card at the time of your reservation.
• Check-In is from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Early Check-In is available by request at the time of reservation. Your cottage will be guaranteed by 1:30 PM. A $20 charge plus tax will apply to your credit card at the time of reservation.
• If you need to arrive after 10:00 PM, please contact us to make arrangements.
• Check-Out time is 11:00 AM. However, you may store your luggage on the day of check-out until 5:00 PM.
• If you must cancel or shorten your stay, please let us know at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. A $35 rebooking fee applies to all cancellations. If you fail to cancel, or cancel within 7 days of your reservation, you will be charged for the entire reservation including tax.

Services

• We offer complimentary secure wireless high speed internet access (WIFI) for your laptop computer.
• ATV’s for trail riding can be trailered or made available upon request with signed hold harmless release.

Cottage Policies

• Children are a special kind of guest. Please call ahead to make sure we can accommodate their needs.
• We are a NON-SMOKING inn. However, smoking is permitted outside on the porch and carport.
• Outside pets are welcome.
